Excellent Product meeting all my bike and headlamp needs

The Banks Biker

Purchased 3 years ago and still love all of it. I use it both camping and bike riding (as a helmet light).

So impressed with it that I have purchased an Urban for handlebar light and a second head lamp with very little consideration for manufactures.

Also found that L&M provides excellent service. In a bike accident and the lens broke on this light. They promptly replaced the lens and bezel without question with the necessary instruction (reverse threads).

Excellent Product meeting all my bike and headlamp needs

Great product, provides great illumination for all conditions.

In 2012, I left Shanghi on a Tour D'Afrique Silk Route trek across 7 countries to Istanbul 12,400 kms later.
I had a Solite as my only light. It worked flawlessly as my tent light, used it as my headlight in road tunnels across China, Tajikistan, Iran and Turkey. It was my night driving light as we were often on the road after dark on strange roads in strange lands. The light never faulted in rain storms, sand storms and snow storms and is still working on my night rides through fall and winter in Nova Scotia Canada. Have since bought several as gifts to my daughters in Montreal, and Cambera Auz. Simply a great piece of kit.

It’s hard to believe that a lamp this small can bring so much power to the party, but Light and Motion’s Solite 250 is bright enough in its maximum setting to even use while mountain biking or commuting during the winter months. While the Solite puts out a claimed 250 lumens on its max setting, it honestly looks brighter than that out in the field. The only light that proved as bright was the 320-lumen Black Diamond Icon.

The Solite 250 is exceptionally simple to operate. One big button atop the lamp allows you to toggle between high, medium, low, read, and flash settings. When operated at its maximum setting, you get about 2.5 hours of burn time. Reduce the power output to its lowest “camp” setting and you’ll eke out an impressive 100 hours of operating time. Spend an extra $30, upgrade to the Solite 250 EX and you can wring a very impressive four hours of burn time in the maximum (250-lumen) setting. The Solite 250 features a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that get its juice via a Micro USB charging cables. As with the other headlamps in this group, it takes about five hours to fully charge the Solite 250.

"It’s hard to believe that a lamp this small can bring so much power to the party, but Light and Motion’s Solite 250 is bright enough in its maximum setting to even use while mountain biking or commuting during the winter months...One of the Solite 250’s biggest selling points is its versatility. To wit, the light comes with a headband, but you can quickly ditch the headband entirely and attach the lamp directly to the battery pack to create a small, yet mighty, flashlight"

L&M is not a large company, and is made up of around 50 full-time
employees, all working under one roof. This gives L&M the ability to
be flexible in an ever-changing market. “We can update products and
innovate much quicker than our competitors,” explains Jacob. “We can
update to a more efficient LED, reprogram our lights or redesign a
mold to improve assembly workflow. Most businesses would have to
wait out an entire season before they could make changes like that”.

It’s advantages like these that keep L&M competitive in the market.
The feel-good factor of buying local can only get you so far in a market
where consumers are becoming increasingly comfortable buying Asian
made products, whether it’s a $100 light or a $6,000 mountain bike.

I use my Solite for everything! Camping, Running, BBQing.... I will never use another headlight again.
My favorite part is that I rarely ever need to charge it. It sits in my kitchen drawer and I grab it eveytime I head out in the dark.

LOVE IT!
